The BlueFRITZ! ISDN Set includes the AP-ISDN together with one BlueFRITZ! USB client. The compact access point BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN is an ideal start in wireless communication. The wireless option is also an easy way to add a notebook or a second PC to an existing ISDN installation at home or at the office. The translucent blue access point is simply plugged into the ISDN NT or an S0 extension line. It is powered by the ISDN line itself, and needs no separate power supply. Secure connections through encryption and frequency hopping BlueFRITZ! AP-ISDN transports voice and data over a standardized, secure radio link between the ISDN line and the Bluetooth clients. Maximum security against eaves-dropping is ensured by 128-bit encryption, activated by default, and by up to 1600 frequency changes per second among 79 channels. The wireless link has a range of up to 100 meters. The ISDN access point's pre-set Bluetooth passkey can be changed by the user at any time, and ensures that only authorized Bluetooth devices can connect to the access point.
