Intelligent Management Center (IMC) is 3Com's next-generation management platform. It provides organizations with visibility into the health and status of IT environments. The 3Com Intelligent Management Center Standard offers in-depth performance and fault information for small-to-medium sized infrastructures. It supports the management of 3Com, H3C and third-party devices and can be deployed across multiple servers providing scalability and resilience. IMC Standard Edition is designed on a service oriented architecture (SOA) using a business application flow model as the core, allowing the fully integrated management of resources, services and users. Multi-user, role based management provides flexible administration and management of an organization's network infrastructure. The management system is licensed on the number of devices (nodes) requiring management. IMC Standard Edition supports up to 100 managed nodes. Additional node licenses can be purchased if required. 3Com Intelligent Management Center Standard provides rich resource management with powerful discovery and topology mapping of the network infrastructure. Custom views allow organizations to manage and control the network infrastructure based on their own business model. With Intelligent Management Center Standard, organizations can maximize network availability by monitoring network performance and identifying and resolving network issues quickly. Historical reporting tools provide the information necessary for network trend analysis and capacity planning. IMC Standard allows VLANs to be deployed with ease. Users can see current topologies at a glance and VLANs can be deployed in bulk across the network. ACLs can be managed across the network to provide effective policy-based control of network security and QoS. The Intelligent Management Center Standard can also help reduce configuration errors with its Bulk Configuration functionality.
