The 3Com Wireless LAN Building-to-Building Bridge combines high performance, interoperability with existing WLAN infrastructure, and ease of use to attach remote networks to the core enterprise network. Data is transmitted using standard and secure WLAN technology, saving the cost of an added T1 line or DSL. Quickly and affordably, you can connect the wired networks in two buildings or across an entire campus without laying a single cable between buildings. The 3Com Wireless LAN Building-to-Building Bridge can be used in two types of network topology. Point-to-Point is the simplest way, offering the highest performance. Two 3Com bridges using sector-panel directional antennas form a direct wireless association between the wired LANs in two buildings. Point-to-Multipoint allows communication between more than two buildings.
