Genuine 3Com SFP transceivers are industry-standard, hot-swappable link adapters that plug into SFP mini-GBIC module slots to connect to Gigabit or Fast Ethernet fiber- or copper-based cabling. The 3Com 100BASE-FX SFP transceiver enables one Fast Ethernet 100BASE-FX connection for organizations with legacy fiber installations. Supports a link length of up to 2.2 kilometers using Multi-Mode Fiber. "Dual Mode" refers to this module's ability to work in a Gigabit SFP slot at 100BASE-FX speeds.
