The SpeedTouch 570 wireless ADSL router is designed for both residential users and small offices or home offices (SOHO). Residential users find the high-speed "loose tail" particularly attractive. PCs, game consoles, PDAs and other devices can instantly and seamlessly connect via high-speed radio links to the Internet, from anywhere in the house, without a physical cable. This wireless LAN is also ideal for SOHO environments that need to share DSL access across a small network. Instead of taking people to a computer screen attached to a fixed line, SOHO web surfers can take their computer to the audience they choose. Security is vital to every PC user, so all SpeedTouch routers come with an advanced firewall for network protection. Two key security features: WEP encryption enables security on wireless in-house networks, and the secure registration button gives you the opportunity to deny access to users on the wireless network. Since the terminals and routers can be configured, demonstrated, and authorized at the point of sale, self-installation/activation of equipment on the customer's premises is foreseen. The SpeedTouch 570 is equipped with an intuitive GUI and pop-up windows, which make changes to the configuration effortless. Even adding other wireless PCMCIA cards is as easy as pushing a button. What's more, you are only five clicks away from the Internet. Just connect your PC, laptop, or local area network to the modem over an Ethernet interface and you're ready to go.
