The OmniStack 6148 is the perfect convergence-ready, stackable workgroup switch. The base unit provides 48 10/100 Mbps ports, plus one slot for an optional media expansion module, and one slot for a media or stack module. This system offers a dual-port 100BaseFX 100 Mbps fiber module, a single-port 1000BaseSX Gigabit uplink module, a 1000BaseLX Gigabit module, a one port GBIC module for SX, LX, and LH connectivity, a one port Gigabit-over-copper module, and stacking modules that allow you to scale from 24 to 172 FE ports. The OmniStack 6148 works with all existing Ethernet and Fast Ethernet equipment and cabling, thereby protecting your network investment.
