The Allied Telesis' AT-8124XL Fast Ethernet switch combines exceptional performance, ease of use and affordability to deliver a flexible solution for Ethernet and Fast Ethernet connectivity. With 24 dual-speed 10/100 ports, the AT-8124XL switch delivers the port density and performance required for a wide range of bandwidth-intensive applications. The auto-negotiating 10/100 ports allow for compatibility with legacy Ethernet networks while providing a smooth transition to Fast Ethernet over time. The AT-8124XL switch is simple to use and provides versatile configuration options for the network. It is ideally suited as a work-group or segment switch in a network; it has the flexibility to provide switched 10Mbps to the desktop or shared hubs, aggregate traffic from workgroup switches, or provide dedicated 100Mbps to servers with bandwidth-intensive applications. The AT-8124XL switch, which provides a scalable platform for combining Ethernet and Fast Ethernet switching, offers a switching solution that is rich in features and yet easy to use. VLAN capabilities allow the network administrator to group users logically, control broadcasts, and enhance security. Spanning Tree redundancy helps prevent loops and speeds network recovery in case of failure.
