The Allied Telesis' range of Fast Ethernet media converters allows users to extend the size of UTP networks with the use of fiber cabling. Converting between 100Base-TX or 100Base-FX Multi-mode and 100BaseT-FX Single-mode "Long Haul" quickly and reliably, the AT-MC103LH and AT-MC104LH can be used to extend networks with up to 40km of fiber. When connecting media converters to auto-negotiating Fast Ethernet switches, these media converters will automatically connect the link in either full or half-duplex mode, allowing the link to be established with the greatest bandwidth.
