The Asanté IntraCore 8000 is a high performance, feature rich 10/100/1000Mbps stackable Ethernet switch. Designed around Asanté's IntraCore Architecture the switch offers the simplicity, high performance and lower cost of ownership that network managers need to meet the demands of today's multi-service networks. High-density auto-sensing 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports make the system easy to deploy and compatible with existing desktop devices. Switches can be expanded in as little as 8 port increments minimizing investments in unneeded capacity. The IntraCore 8000 uses advanced silicon technology to deliver, wire-speed switched 10/100/1000 Ethernet connectivity. Advanced software features allow users to design networks that assure consistent and predictable application performance, and network availability. Unlike most stackable switches, system bandwidth (stacking units and stacking bus) scales as new units are added to the stack maintaining wire speed performance regardless of system configuration. Interoperability with current network equipment is achieved through compliance with industry standards. IntraCore 8000 offers the best overall value in the industry. Acquisition costs are reduced through the system's configuration flexibility allowing customers to purchase only what they need when they need it. For example, stacking capability is implemented through optional stacking modules that are only required when building stacked configurations. Switched ports can be added in as few as eight port increments reducing unnecessary investments in unused capacity. Asanté's IntraCore Architecture meets the feature and performance requirements for multi-service networks that support telephony, video and data applications.
