The Advanced ISCA adapter provides a reliable, high performance link between remote network servers and mission-critical host data. The Advanced ISCA PnP adapter's intelligent, coprocessor based architecture supports both SDLC and QLLC/X.25 connections to host mainframes. An on-board 20MHz 80C186 microprocessor, backed with 512KB SRAM and 16KB of dual port RAM, off-loads communications tasks from the host PC, reducing CPU utilization while easily supporting line data rates up to 512Kbps. A 16-bit ISA bus interface helps speed data transfer between the adapter and the host PC. The Advanced ISCA adapter is provided with both RS-232 and V.35 cables (X.21 in Europe), so there's nothing left to buy.
