IGES compliance is required by the U.S. government's CALS initiative. Featuring a graphical user interface (GUI) that works directly within AutoCAD 2000i, AutoCAD Mechanical 2000i, and Mechanical desktop 5 software, AutoCAD IGES 2000i lets you easily set and modify translation variables to meet a variety of data-exchange needs. AutoCAD IGES 2000i complies with IGES Version 5.3; it imports IGES files that comply with IGES 5.3 and earlier versions, and it exports IGES 5.3-compliant files. It also supports the Japanese Automotive Manufacturers Association (JAMA) IGES subset version 1.04.
