The AXIS 1620 single port print server can be directly connected to any Canon PCL printer, allowing you to easily share your printer resources with everyone on your network. The AXIS 1620 is the ideal print server for mixed environments as it can simultaneously support all major operating systems and network protocols including: IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), NetWare, UNIX, Windows, Windows clients connected to LANtastic networks, OS/2, Macintosh, Internet/intranet using any standard web browser. The AXIS 1620 print server provides high performance and reliability combined with low power consumption. The electronic circuits are based on Axis' improved ETRAX 100 chip, which comprises an integrated 32 bit RISC processor and associated network controllers. Axis' ETRAX 100 chip has been specifically designed for LAN products, resulting in a faster throughput than it is possible with a direct PC-to-printer connection.
