The Film Adapter Unit is built right into the scanner lid, so you can easily scan slides, transparencies, film, photos and text at a remarkable 1200 x 2400 dpi. Everything you need - from faster scanning speeds and greater color bit depth to professional software-comes standard. Scan 35mm slides and negatives, medium-format and 4" x 5" negatives and transparencies, as well as photographs up to 8" x 10", by simply inserting your item and pressing the external scan button. With its built-in backlight for scanning film, the D1230UF scanner produces high-resolution scans automatically. In fact, it features advanced 48-bit color technology, which enables it to recognize more than 281 trillion possible colors for truly spectacular scanning results.
