Software Application Support plus Upgrades provides customers with software upgrades and maintenance releases for Cisco Application Software, registered access to Cisco Connection Online (CCO) plus technical support for one year. Increasing complexity, high user expectations, rapid technological change, and global deployment present enormous challenges to manage this constant state of change and growth. To overcome these challenges, Cisco Systems offers its customers not only advanced networking devices and the Cisco IOS operating system, but a full range of software applications designed to ensure optimum network performance. Every year, Cisco makes a massive investment in software enhancements (feature additions) and software maintenance (bug fixes). This investment is in response to both new opportunities and new challenges as Cisco strives to innovate and lead the industry. Cisco software typically undergoes major revisions and feature upgrades at least once a year. Cisco's goal is to offer its customers unconditional access to these enhancements so that they never have to make a financial decision about upgrading their software. This policy ensures that their network is constantly up-to-date and that all avoidable problems are, in fact, avoided. Cisco's Software Application Support plus Upgrades (SASU) product ensures that you get the benefit of that investment. Cisco is able to respond quickly to changes in networking environments, providing low-cost, immediate software upgrades and updates to enhance and extend the life of the software. SASU provides automatic updates of all major releases, with sophisticated upgrade planning processes, as well as maintenance fixes. Through Cisco Connection Online(CCO), these updates are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be contacted via the telephone or electronic mail. It is staffed by senior customer engineers who have experience with the Cisco product line and all aspects of data. CCO is Cisco's industry-leading online support and information service, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CCO provides users with a wealth of up-to-date information, with hundreds of new documents being added or updated each month. And CCO provides the most comprehensive collection of online technical resources in the industry. SASU features Proactive shipment of all major releases plus minor and maintenance releases for a Cisco software product (excluding Cisco IOS and embedded software); 24 x 7 x 365 access to TAC; 24 x 7 x 365 access to CCO.
