The StorageWorks Enclosure 4200 is Compaq's new generation Ultra2 SCSI disk enclosure family. These enclosures deliver industry leading data performance, availability, storage capacity, rack density, upgradability and value to meet customers' demanding and growing computing needs. The StorageWorks Enclosure 4200 family was developed, designed and engineered by Compaq and includes innovations such as the award-winning innovative drive carrier and support for up to 14 (1-inch) disk drives. These enclosures were also designed and engineered to incorporate the next generation SCSI and drive technology, thus providing high levels of upgradability and investment protection. To this end, the Enclosure 4200 family is Ultra3 ready. The drive carrier is designed to support the fastest current and next generation hard drives. The enclosure is easily to upgrade when the Ultra3 components are available.
