The Compaq StorageWorks Modular Data Router (MDR) is a Fiber Channel-to-SCSI bridge that allows a host server to communicate with a high voltage differential (HVD) or low voltage differential/single ended (LVD/SE) SCSI tape device over a Fiber Channel link.
