The Compaq Netelligent Ethernet ISA controllers offer a very low-cost, high-performance solution for Compaq and non-Compaq client systems. These bus-mastering controllers feature Plug and Play installation, and full-duplex support. The Netelligent 10 T ISA UTP utilizes bus-mastering technology to maximize throughput while minimizing CPU utilization. The 10 T controller supports 10Base-T Ethernet networks and automatically configures memory and interrupt settings for quick and easy installation. An interactive configuration utility is provided to view and change the controller's settings in non-plug and play systems. The 10 T UTP supports full-duplex Ethernet, allowing simultaneous two-way transmission between nodes for up to 20 Mb/s aggregate bandwidth on 10Base-T networks. It includes a Boot ROM socket for diskless workstation connections. LEDs indicate link and network activity for at-a-glance installation and troubleshooting.
