This 400MHz Intel Xeon processor allows you to upgrade your Compaq Proliant server to a multi-processing machine. This Xeon has 512K of L2 cache, and is compatible with Proliant 6000 and 7000 models that are specially equipped to use the Xeon processor. Keep in mind that in multi-processor environments, each CPU must have exactly the same specifications, so this Xeon should only be used in conjunction with other 400MHz Xeon processors with 512K L2 cache.
