The TX89 combines the performance and capacity of DLT drives with a generous 70GB (compressed) capacity, which is enough space to back up high-end workstations and network server data. The TZ89 is a heavy-duty solution for Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM), image/multimedia storage, archiving, near-online storage, and unattended backup applications. The quad-channel read/write head design provides a sustained transfer rate of up to 10MB per second (compressed). This performance enables you to back up 70GB in under two hours. The TX89 also features Lempel-Ziv (DLZ) high-efficiency data compression and tape mark directory to maximize data throughput and minimize data access time. The TZ89 is read and write compatible with Compac/DLTtape IV, III, and IIIXT media. Its dimensions and weight are 4.87 inches (height), 9 inches (width), 12.75 inches (length), and 15lbs.
