ELSA LANCOM DSL/25 Office supports broadband coupling of IP networks and integrated office communications over ATM networks via xDSL connections. With its ATM 25.6F interface as well as its support of ATM permanent and switched virtual connections (UNI 3.1), the router can be used on any xDSL connection. The integrated broadband CAPI from ELSA LANCOM DSL/25 Office implements a simple upgrade of familiar ISDN telematic applications to high-speed ATM connections. For the LAN, security features such as packet filters, authentication, and administration of access rights, firewall filter, and IP masquerading guarantee that all PCs in the local network are given secure access to the Internet. Functions such as caching, spoofing and masking of Windows peer-to-peer networks avoid the costly transfer of redundant data. The integrated budget management feature protects against extra and unexpected costs.
