Dantz Retrospect Disaster Recovery can create disaster recovery CDs for the backup server. While other vendors require that the disaster recovery CD be created when the computer is alive, Dantz Retrospect can create a disaster recovery CD for a computer that is already dead. Retrospect gathers the data required as a normal part of backing up the computer. The disaster recovery process installs the operating system, restores system settings, and finally restores the computer's entire hard drive to any point-in-time. Systems with RAID controllers, which require low-level device drivers, are also supported.
