The EPL-5700PS is a PostScript compatible version of the EPL-5700 with 8Mb of standard RAM for those requiring document portability to proof PostScript jobs before sending them to be output at a bureau. The optional interface slot is available so that an Ethernet or LocalTalk interface can be fitted. EPL-5700 is an ideal small workgroup laser printer providing a rapid 8 PPM, coupled with a 100Mhz RISC processor for fast document processing. Featuring 4Mb RAM as standard, expandable to 36Mb, the EPL-5700 is able to handle the most complex of graphical documents with ease. A true print resolution of 600 x 600dpi is further enhanced with Epson's unique MicroGray 1200 halftoning technology included within the Advanced Printer driver, to give 1200dpi class printing. The Enhanced MicroGray function results in crisp, clear definition on text documents and smooth gradation on graphical images.
