Based on the new Bluetooth industry standard for wireless communications, the Bluetooth Ultraport Module from IBM provides computing professionals with short-range wireless connectivity on certain ThinkPad and NetVista systems. The Bluetooth Ultraport Module easily installs onto certain ThinkPads using the Ultraport connector, which is located at the top of the ThinkPad display on IBM T Series, A Series (with an Ultraport connector), and X Series models. The Module not only eliminates the need for inconvenient and expensive cables but also does not require using a PC Card slot to Bluetooth enable your ThinkPad. If your ThinkPad does not have an Ultraport connector, the Bluetooth Ultraport Module kit provides support for connection to a standard USB port. For NetVista Desktop PCs, the Bluetooth Ultraport Module can be conveniently and simply connected via USB ports.
