The IBM TotalStorage FAStT EXP700 Storage Expansion unit is a highly available, fully redundant disk drive enclosure that when attached to the FAStT700, FAStT500, and FAStT200 Storage Servers enables high-performance storage solutions for mid-range and enterprise business-critical applications. The EXP700 is a 3U rack-mountable enclosure that supports up to 14 hot-swappable 2 Gbps Fiber Channel (FC) slim-high disk drive modules. There are four 2 Gbps FC disk drive modules available (an 18.2 GB and a 36.4 GB, both operating at 15, 000 rpm, and a 36.4 GB and 73.4 GB operating at 10, 000 rpm), providing a wide selection of sizes and speeds for various applications needs.
