The TS3100 Tape Library combines IBM tape and automation reliability at open systems prices. The TS3100 Tape Library Express Model F3S is an external standalone or rack-mountable unit and contains a LTO Ultrium tape drive that is designed for the heavy demands of backup tape storage. The TS3100 Tape Library Express Models F3S capacity is 22 tape cartridges, providing a media physical capacity of up to 8.8 TB data storage per unit. The IBM System Storage TS3100 Tape Library Express Model F3S is designed to offer high capacity, performance, and technology for the midrange open systems environment and is the first in a family of IBM System Storage tape library offerings.
