IBM NetBay Tape Enclosure rack device expands the line of tape solutions available for storing and protecting your valuable data. This 4U tape backup enclosure unit is designed to increase tape drive rack density. The enclosure will support 4 full- high or 6 half-high drives. The drives mount directly to enclosure. The 4U tape enclosure can be shared between 6 servers. This tape enclosure is a reliable product that provides customer flexibility to meet growing back-up storage requirements in a rack configuration. It can support 6 internal Ultra2 low-voltage differential (LVD) SCSI connections at up to 80 MB/s. Data transfer rates depend on many factors and are often less than maximum possible.
