Bring the speed of Wide Ultra SCSI to your IBM workstation, PC, or server with this IBM PCI Wide Ultra SCSI adapter. It provides a sustained transfer rate of up to 40MB per second and a 133MB per second host to bus transfer rate using its 32-bit PCI bus. It can be attached to up to 15 SCSI, SCSI-2, and SCSI-3 hard drives, removable-cartridge drives, magneto optical drives, CD-ROM drives, tape drives, and scanners. The IBM Wide Ultra adapter also supports both 8-bit and 16-bit drives as well as bootable hard disk drives with a capacity of up to 8GB under DOS. The adapter's bus mastering Direct Memory Access (DMA) allows it to control the transfer of data from your peripherals to your system memory, freeing your processor for other tasks. The BIOS SCSISelect configuration utility enables you to configure the adapter on-screen so you don't have worry about setting jumpers or terminators while you are installing the card.
