The Data Silo DS351 is a steel rack mount enclosure designed to reliably house four 3.5 inch or 5.25 inch half-height CD-ROM, optical disk, tape or hard drives, including Kingston's Data Express removable drive enclosures. This 4-bay expansion chassis is available unwired, with options for 50-pin Microminiature (HD50), 68-pin Wide and 68-pin Wide VHDCI internal cabling and rear panel connections. The DS351 can support up to four separate host interfaces. Each DS351 provides four SCSI ID selection switches on it's front panel (one for each bay). It also includes one adapter bracket per bay, for adapting 3.5 inch drives. The DS351 is constructed of rugged steel and designed for durable, reliable high-capacity storage with a variety of external host connections. The DS351 comes equipped with two, separately-powered, auto-ranging, enhanced 65 watt power supplies. (This value represents the continuous, "rated" wattage for the DS351 power supplies; maximum, peak wattage is 112 watts. These power supplies are capable of providing peak wattages during spin-up of high performance drives.)
