With a 2x8 In-Line switch, network managers can simultaneously monitor and analyze two separate networks. These non-blocking SpyderSwitches enable a protocol analyzer to perform real-time monitoring and analysis across multiple networks. 2x8 In-Line SpyderSwitches support monitoring any two network subset of eight networks. For example, the GigaBit 2x8 In-Line switch could support simultaneous monitoring of network 1 (GigaBit Ethernet) with a GigaBit protocol analyzer distributed system, and network 2 (GigaBit Ethernet) with a second GigaBit protocol analyzer distributed system. In-Line switches feature passive link integrity enabling the network to operate at a continuous flow regardless of whether power is available to the switch or whether the protocol analyzer is in use. Network traffic flows uninterrupted through the passive switch even if power is lost. In addition, because these switches enable analysis and testing while maintaining existing network connections, monitoring can occur during business hours.
