BaySecure FireWall-1 consists of two main components. The Agent module, which resides on the router, is part of the BayRS routing software. When customers purchase a firewall license from Nortel Networks, this agent is activated to activate the firewall in that router. It is the agent in the router that performs the actual firewall inspection process. The second component is the award-winning Check Point Management module.
