Nortel Networks Alteon SSL VPN gateway provides remote users or business partners with access to corporate applications and file shares from any web browser in any location. The Alteon SSL VPN feature set is provided in addition to the already market leading feature set of the Alteon SSL Accelerator. The Alteon SSL VPN gateway provides a rich feature set, great scalability and flexibility. Up to 256 SSL VPN portals can be created to allow large customers or service provides to deploy multiple SSL VPN portals for different departments, different user categories (Intranet vs. Extranet) or simply different customers. Each SSL VPN portal can be customized with graphic layout: language, authentication mechanisms: access profiles and different user groups.
