Slow Repeat allows footage to be slowed during playback up to the normal playback speed. This allows the viewer to study fast moving scenes in perfect detail i.e. a golf swing. DVD-S224 incorporates only a single laser diode giving off 1 wavelength for DVD disc reading. The advantage is less components and thus greater product reliability, as well as the ability to flawlessly playback CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 encoded discs.
