CRX300A with 48x CD writing and 16x DVD reading joins Sony's storage family to meet the market demand which requires storage drive with enhanced functionality that fits into slim type of desktop PC. This 48x combo introduction is a perfect lineup as "Storage by SONY" to cover low end to high-end personal storage. CRX300A supports 48x CD-R, 24x CD-RW, 48x CD-ROM and 16x DVD-ROM with rich software to let users avoid extra investment and start enjoying Sony Combo drive upon purchase. Same as other CD-RW in Sony's optical storage family, it has buffer under run protection technology, namely Power Burn conformed. Sony Combo CRX300A supports CD write and CD/DVD read into one drive and has shorter body than Sony's previous CD-RW drive making it the best solution to slim desktop users with limited space and limited number bay for optical drive. CRX300A can record CD-Recordable (CD-R) discs at up to 48X (Max.) speed, CD-ReWritable discs at up to 24X (Max.) speed. This means you can record a full 650 MB of data on a CD-R disc in less than 3 minutes, and a CD-RW disc in less than 4 minutes. Also with CD playback at up to 48X (Max.) speed and DVD playback up to 16x, you can read back your data quickly, giving you fast access to even the largest files. Power-Burn Conformed to avoid buffer underrun and 2 MB data buffer on your CRX300A drive delivers high-sustained transfer rates to help reduce possible interruptions to recording.
