Engineered to IEEE 802.11b 2.4 GHz (DSSS) standards, the PCI511WB can be used with other 802.11b wireless adapters for peer-to-peer Ad Hoc connections, or with a wireless access point to connect your computer to your existing wired network. Supporting a maximum data transfer rate of 11 Mbits/sec, the adapter uses an auto-fallback feature to dynamically adjust transfer rates when signal integrity is compromised, making sure that your transmissions always get through at the maximum possible speed. The PCI511WB also features enhanced 64/128-bit WEP data encryption to keep your wireless transmissions secure. The adapter includes an adjustable antenna, allowing you to fine-tune your antenna position for the best possible wireless signal.
