A key feature is the Universal Serial Bus (USB). The first choice in interfaces because it makes handling so easy, this bus is particularly well-suited for portable, notebook-based applications. The Nettetal-based enterprise's mobile Cinergy 250 USB endows notebooks and computers with TV reception capability via antenna or cable, respectively. The mobile TV solution is no bigger than a cigarette pack and weighs just 65 grams! It connects directly to USB 2.0 interfaces, which also supply the power. In addition, Cinergy 250 USB enables users to digitize videos. For the record, the Cinergy 250 USB gets the TV signal directly from an antenna or broadband cable. Video signals from devices such as VHS recorders, DVD players or video cameras are easily patched in via the Composite or SVHS port. The offering not only boasts premium hardware; a suite of perfectly matched software rounds out the package. The Cinergy 250 USB ships with an extensive and remarkably convenient software package that enables users to view videos and record TV broadcasts. Even time-shifted broadcasts are an option. Viewing sessions can readily be interrupted, with the program to be resumed later at the same place. To reduce the amount of space required to archive films on hard disk or CD, the Cinergy 250 USB supports virtually all standard video codecs (for example, DivX).
