The RX-N600 model is the first Yamaha receiver to offer network receiver functions. Using network connection and Windows Media Connect ver.2 technology, it lets you play MP3, WMA and WAV music from a remote PC. You can also listen to any of the thousands of stations available on Internet radio. The RX-N600 provides even more listening options. It can function as a client in Yamaha's MusicCAST home audio network, seamlessly integrating with the MCX- 2000. A USB terminal on the front panel makes it convenient to play music from USB flash drives and portable USB music players. And the optional YDS-10 lets you connect your iPod to the receiver. Yamaha employs sophisticated digital signal processing with our exclusive algorithms to enable playback that improves iPod, MP3 and WMA music quality. The receiver displays iPod, PC, Internet radio and MusicCAST music or station information on the screen, and you can make receiver settings while viewing the screen. The Digital ToP-ART design concept combines the latest and best technologies, parts and circuit designs to maximize sound quality. High Current Amplification uses superior components to achieve high current power with low impedance from power speaker terminals. Direct Stereo causes the input stereo signal to bypass the DSP circuitry so the pure signal is output without any processing or data loss whatsoever. This receiver uses extremely high performance 192kHz/24-bit DACs for all channels. They perform accurate sound field reproduction for high quality multi-channel sources, and for two-channel stereo, provide outstanding separation and precise musical delineation.
