The OmniAccess 4100 WLAN Appliance delivers Wireless LAN (WLAN) service over an existing Ethernet infrastructure, protecting existing network investments while providing best-in-class wireless services. As a core component of Alcatel's award-winning Wireless Enterprise Platform, the Alcatel 4100 WLAN Appliance delivers wireless security, RF management, intrusion detection, QoS and mobility across an entire enterprise. It works in conjunction with Alcatel OmniVista Air Control System (ACS) software, OmniAccess 1200 Access Points (APs) and third-party APs to provide network managers with a robust WLAN solution that enables business-critical wireless applications. The Alcatel OmniAccess 4102 WLAN appliance provides two 1000Base-SX Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, one for high speed connectivity to existing wire line devices, and the second for redundancy. From voice and data services to location tracking, the Alcatel 4100 WLAN Appliance provides the control, scalability, and reliability that IT managers need to be build enterprise-scale wireless networks.
