EBS SANPaq with VERITAS bundle makes it easy for customers to consolidate disk and tape resources on a high-speed Fiber Channel switch. Featuring Compaq's Fiber Channel SAN Switch 8-EL, EBS SANPaq significantly reduces the cost of a full fabric storage area network (SAN) over purchasing individual components and is well suited to customers wanting to add a second FC SAN Switch 8-EL for additional scalability. EBS SANPaq with VERITAS bundle includes the Modular Data Router to allow a tape library to be shared by all servers in the SAN along with 5 license keys of VERITAS Backup Exec and shared storage option software for Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows NT, or Novell NetWare environments. By centralizing backup over a high speed, Fiber Channel infrastructure, customers enjoy increased network bandwidth, lights-out automation, and longer cable distances for easier deployment.
