SNMP-manageable iMcV-Gigabit copper-to-fiber modules convert 1000Base-T twisted pair network segments to fiber, extending the distance of data transmissions over multi-mode, single mode or single-strand fiber optics up to 80Km. iMcV-Gigabit series converters are ideal in enterprise backbone applications, or connecting multiple locations over a Metropolitan Area Network. iMcV-Gigabit modules include both LinkLoss and FiberAlert troubleshooting features which enable network managers to receive an SNMP trap and quickly troubleshoot potential problems. Manage iMcV-Gigabit series modules with IMC Networks' free iView2 application or with any other popular NMS package such as HP OpenView. With iView2 network managers can monitor and manage iMcV-Gigabit and other intelligent modules via an intuitive Graphical User Interface.
